Tim Bishop publishes op-ed on Higher Education

Congressman Tim Bishop (ret.) wrote an op-ed piece published in The Hill on September 5th.  In the article, Congressman Bishop outlines a long list of items due for Congress this fall, and then focused one of these issues, re-authorization of the critical Perkins Loan Program.   This landmark education program directed approximately $1.5 billion in repayable funding to 420,000 needy higher education students in the 2015-16 academic year and is a key to federal assistance for college attendees in the U.S.  The full article from The Hill can be found here.
